- Here in Hongkong the Speedster is confusing the "ring" sound for a
- "busy" single and disconnecting prior to answer. Is there and
- mechanism for adjusting the sensativity of this modem?
-
- I've already tried extending the dial period by adding a "," to the
- telephone number but this doesn't always work -- it isn't certain
- whether the call with be answered on the first ring.
-
- Also, when answering in fax mode the modem waits for the sending fax
- to send the usual short tone. Some older sending machines do not
- provide this tone. The situation is the same if the sender sends
- manually. Is it possible to force the modem to answer with the
- receiving fax tones?
