  12. Here in Hongkong the Speedster is confusing the "ring" sound for a
  13. "busy" single and disconnecting prior to answer. Is there and
  14. mechanism for adjusting the sensativity of this modem?

  16. I've already tried extending the dial period by adding a "," to the
  17. telephone number but this doesn't always work -- it isn't certain
  18. whether the call with be answered on the first ring.

  20. Also, when answering in fax mode the modem waits for the sending fax
  21. to send the usual short tone. Some older sending machines do not
  22. provide this tone. The situation is the same if the sender sends
  23. manually. Is it possible to force the modem to answer with the
  24. receiving fax tones?
